Upgrading and Downgrading

You can change your plan at any time from Settings, then Billing, then Change Plan.

If your workspace already has a managed Stripe subscription, CustomerFlows sends you to the Stripe billing portal for upgrades, downgrades, billing interval changes, payment-method updates, invoices, cancellations, and reactivation.

Upgrading

When you upgrade (e.g., Starter to Growth, or Growth to Scale):

  • Immediate access to all features on the new tier
  • Prorated billing -- you're charged the difference for the remaining days in your current billing cycle
  • No data migration -- everything stays exactly as it is

Downgrading

When you downgrade (e.g., Scale to Growth, or Growth to Starter):

  • Takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle -- you keep the higher tier until then
  • Your data is preserved, but features above your new tier become read-only or hidden

What happens to features that exceed your new tier:

FeatureWhat Happens
Extra pipelines (e.g., going from Growth to Starter)Additional pipelines become read-only. You can view deals but can't add new ones. To regain edit access, delete extra pipelines or upgrade back.
Extra team seatsExtra members are not removed but cannot log in until seats are available. The owner chooses which members retain access.
Custom fields beyond the new tier limitExisting data is preserved. You can view all fields but can't create new ones beyond the limit.
Automation workflowsWorkflows above the limit are paused, not deleted. They resume if you upgrade again.
Business template resourcesInstalled data is preserved. Template resources above the new tier's limits may become read-only, paused, or deferred until you upgrade again.
AI Console capacityExisting knowledge and review history are preserved, but response limits, source limits, or supervised feedback actions may be restricted.
Meta Ads attribution (Growth/Scale only)FBCLID capture pauses. Historical Meta attribution data is preserved.
API access (Scale only)API keys are deactivated. Existing integrations stop working. Keys reactivate if you upgrade back.

How to Change Your Plan

  1. Go to Settings, then Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your new tier
  4. Review the changes summary (what you gain or lose)
  5. Confirm

Upgrades are applied immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

FAQ

Can I switch plans during a trial period? If your workspace includes trial access, Settings, then Billing shows the plan scheduled to start after the trial. You can choose or change that plan from billing settings or the Stripe billing portal before the first charge.

Is there a penalty for downgrading? No. No penalties, no fees. You simply move to the lower tier at the end of your current billing period.

What if I want to switch between monthly and yearly billing? You can switch billing intervals from Settings, then Billing. For active subscriptions, CustomerFlows sends you to Stripe so the change is applied using the correct plan and billing interval. Proration and the effective date depend on the change Stripe shows before you confirm it.

Who can change billing? Owners and Billing Admins can open checkout or the Stripe billing portal. Other team members may see plan status but cannot change billing.
